GALE ANNE HURD

After graduating Gale Anne Hurd joined New World Pictures as executive assistant to Roger Corman. In 1982 she formed her own production company, Pacific Western Productions and joined forces with James Cameron (director) to create box-office hits The Terminator, ALIENS, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and The Abyss.

She is the executive producer behind Armageddon, Alien Nation and Tremors. Gale Anne Hurd is also the Vice Chair of the Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship at the Motion Picture Academy.

More recently (2002) she produced the exciting teen film Clockstoppers co-starring Adventure Inc's Michael Biehn.

She was the driving force behind the inception and production of Adventure Inc., basing the series very loosely on the exploits of a personal friend, Barry Clifford -- a renowned explorer.

Born on 25 October, 1955 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Married three times, she has a daughter by her second husband, Brian de Palma.

BARRY CLIFFORD

Barry Clifford has been fascinated by pirates his whole life. Growing up on the New England coast, he couldn't avoid hearing pirate tales and wondering if he could find some of the loot rumored to be scattered up and down the coast.

In 1984, he did just that - discovering the sunken remains of the pirate ship Whydah off the coast of Cape Cod. The ship was lost in 1717 during a violent storm and took with it more than a hundred men with all their treasure. In more than 16 years of meticulous salvage, Clifford and his crew have recovered more than 200,000 artifacts from the site. Rather than selling the treasure, he has set up a private conservation lab and a museum open to the public.

Pirate ships in New England aren't Clifford's only pursuits. He has since led expeditions to Madacascar to find Captain Kidd's sunken boat, the Adventure, and found a lost fleet off the coast of Venezuela. He's also been involved in finding hidden tombs in Egypt's Valley of the Kings.</p>

Clifford has told about his adventures in several books, including "Expedition Whydah," "The Pirate Prince," "The Black Ship" and his most recent book, just out this summer - "The Lost Fleet."
